How Often Should You Check your Business Numbers?
One of the most common questions I hear from small business owners is: How often should I check my finances?

The truth is that there’s no perfect answer. It really depends on your business. Here’s a general guide to help you stay on track without feeling overwhelmed:
✅ Quick Check-Ins → Weekly or monthly.
These are short reviews where you look over your income, expenses, and bank accounts. Are things looking right? Any surprises?
✅ Deeper Reviews → Quarterly or annually.
This is when you step back and look at the big picture: profitability, cash flow, growth trends, and whether you’re meeting your goals.
Why It Matters
Regular check-ins help you avoid surprises, make smarter decisions, and stay ahead of potential problems.
And remember: You don’t have to do it all yourself! Having a reliable bookkeeping partner can take the pressure off and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Sometimes it’s the simple habits that make the biggest difference.
